The pocketbook from "21 Sensational Patchwork Bags" and a project based on the Ranru wallhanging from "Japanese Sashiko Inspirations" are two I've spotted recently.

Quilter's Way, a quilt store in Concord, MA, USA, is running a block of the month programme using this lovely sampler quilt by Miho Takeuchi, mostly using blocks from "Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match" (third block from left on third row down is her own design). The way Miho has combined sashiko touches within the patchwork blocks is very beautiful.
