Bags and sashiko - quick update!

I realised I haven't had much time for writing lately - I'm busy writing again, this time with more patchwork bags, among other things.

I gave a talk near Nottingham for Region 10 of the Quilters' Guild of the British Isles at their area day on March 15th, with a sashiko workshop on March 16th in Nottingham. I need to download photos of the workshop, where some lovely samples of Shonai sashiko were produced. The quilters were learning the basics of hitomezashi (one stitch sashiko), used to great effect on the two Japanese quilts I wrote about back in February.

"Fabulous Fat Quarter Bags" is going to be the next bag book, so time to get back to work!
