My quilts and others at the Great Northern Quilt Show
Both "Hanui" and the little wallhanging I made just before the show (above) won Judge's Merit awards in the theme category, "Oriental Inspirations".
I was part of the judging panel on Wednesday, on a different section of course. This is what I chose for my Judge's Choice (the award which a quilt judge can give to any quilt they like).
"The Last Samurai" was on show with the other Oriental Fabric Challenge quilts from Quilts UK last May.
"Postcards from the Exhibition" was in the Art Quilt category.

Congrats on your ribbons! I like the quilt that looks like a kimono. Did you start with a kimono or was it pieced?
