I am starting to select kimono for sale at World Textile Day at Bridge of Allan, Stirling, on Saturday. Since I need to cut down the kimono collection somewhat to fit into the new house, I decided to sell some of the pieces which have featured in talks and exhibitions over the last few years but which I don't plan to use as design sources for future work. Here's a peek at some of them.
1970s silk chirmen komon -
1940s silk hitoe -
Late c.20th silk komon, rinzu damask with maple motifs -
Here's a detail of the beautiful yuzen-dyed uchikake at the start of this blog post - covered with sumptous palace scenes and golden clouds -
Two more mic C20th omeshi kimono -
Some of the kimono above were purchased online and some of the photos are the original seller's pictures, as I don't have any others. There are many more kimono than I have space to show here :-)

Congratulations on World Textile Day in Scotland. One year I will be able to attend one of the events. Very relieved that those kimono did not tempt me, lovely as they are! Hope you have a great time.
