Glyn did well with his quilts at the National Quilt Championships at Sandown Park last weekend - we weren't there as we were doing World Textile Day at Bridge of Allan, Stirling on Saturday (photos later, when Bob's sent me some). He won Rookie of the Year and third in Small Wall Hanging for his Mission Impossible quilt, and got second in the Wearable Art category for his 'Hadrian's Bag'. Thanks to Kate North for these photos. I'll take some more pics of his bag when it comes home - it has appliques under the flap with hand drawn maps/plans of Hadrian's Wall on it. You can see him making the wooden end panels here. Well done! It was worthwhile staying up late to get the bag finished too.
