Sandown Park and World Textile Day Scotland

This year, I won't be at the National Quilt Championships at Sandown Park because it clashes with World Textile Day Scotland.  We held the first WTD Scotland last year and it went down so well, this time we've got even more space for our exhibits, talks and sales.  I just couldn't miss it.  I'll be back at Sandown Park sometime in the future.

Glyn has entered two of his quilts for the National Quilt Championships, so if you are going to Esher, look out for these - in the Theme category (A Touch of Yellow) and Small Wallhanging.

He's also entered a mystery piece in the Wearable Art category.  Here's some photos of the early stages. No fabric yet! The wood is recycled from an old burred oak fencepost.  It was sliced into boards by hand, filled with gold resin, shaped and sanded - bag panels.  The rest will be quilted.
