Another new quilt pattern for the Great Northern Quilt Show...
I am launching another new pattern at the Great Northern Quilt Show at Harrogate today - Garden Party. The patchwork for this quilt was really fun to do. The centre was the first challenge we did at Wrexham Quilting Circle, Split Nine Patch, and I got carried away with shading through colour and value with a bundle of plains and lots of green prints and batiks. Other than getting organised with fabrics, there is nothing more complicated in it than a half square triangle. It is fat quarter friendly too. The photo above shows the quilt at the National Quilt Championships 2010 and shortly after that it appeared in Popular Patchwork magazine.

What a striking design and use of colour. Have a great time in Harrogate, wish I was there.
