Sashiko and Patchwork courses - at Bridlington and Denman College

Apologies to anyone who wanted the flyer about the sashiko and patchwork courses I will be teaching at Bridlington, Yorkshire, in the spring - we ran out of them over the weekend at the Great Northern Quilt Show. If you click this link, the information is here in my earlier post.

The day workshops are filling up very quickly and there are still some places on the residential workshops. As this is the first time I've offered either of these residential courses in the North East, it is a good opportunity for anyone for whom travelling to Denman College, Oxfordshire, would be too far - or if you'd just like a fun break with other stitchers in very comfortable surroundings!

Having mentioned Denman, there are a few places still left on my earlier sashiko course with them in October 2010 - click here for more information. I'm teaching there for four days from tomorrow too, with a course about how to adapt sashiko for more pictorial designs. The course title is "Sashiko - Part 2" which may have made it seem a bit too advanced, but it is suitable for beginners as well as those seeking a more advanced sashiko course. Once again, there are just a few places still available for last minute bookings. Although the course description mentions the chrysanthemum panel from my second sashiko book, students will be able to explore more individual work for sashiko, based on Japanese (or other) designs.
