Africa raffle quilt

Two photos of a gorgeous quilt in African fabrics, charity raffle tickets available! It has been made to raise funds for Child Welfare Bloemfontein, by Lyn Smolenska's group. The quilt was made from my "Roman Perdu" design - detail shown here from the Popular Patchwork site.

You can contact Lyn re tickets and I'll have some for sale at FoQ and at Great Northern Quilt Show too. Lyn writes -

The Tuesday Strippers, assisted by Alsager P's and Q's, made this amazing African inspired Quilt, in a Susan Briscoe design. The funds raised will help Child Welfare Bloemfontein, South Africa, maintain the Heidedal creche and look after vulnerable young children.
The draw will take place on 19th February, 2009, at our open monthly meeting.
Tickets are £1, in books of 5, and are available with cheque payable to Lyn Smolenska, 6 Fairview Av., Alsager, Stoke on Trent, Staffs, ST7 2NW. Please include a SAE.
Ok, so I suppose you wonder who the Tuesday Strippers are?? Just a group of friends who meet weekly, and have a good time! Would you believe we named ourselves long before jelly rolls became popular, but like jelly roll enthusiasts, we mainly seemed to stitch with strips!
