Two of the lovely quilt tops begun at the workshop on November 22nd, photographed at Gresford Craft Group last night - first, Debbie's traditional Christmas top in red, green and cream, with LOTS of gold prints. It is going to become a special table cloth for the festive season, with another "round" of corner triangles added, then the "piano key" border. Most of these fabrics were from a Fabric Freedom strip cut, with some extras thrown in from Debbie's stash.
The second is Margaret's sea of tran-quil'ty, made using another Fabric Freedom strip cut, this time in batiks. She is using two identical rolls, just in case you are spotting some duplication. This quilt is destined to be king size, with an extra round of corner triangles and the piano key border too - so it will have three sets of corner triangles, not just one like the original. Margaret is planning to have it long arm quilted.
