Some favourite quilts at Edinburgh

There were many interesting exbitions by groups and individual quilters at Edinburgh last weekend, and there are two more opportunities to see these at the other Spring Quilt Festivals at Chilford and Exeter. Featured quilters include Dilys Fronks, who will be exhibiting as Quiltfest's 'Fringe' quilter next year (at the Museum gallery for the second half of the month), Patricia McLoughlin (known for her exquisitely detailed appliques) and Rosalind Pollock (the title of her exhibition, 'Does it need beads?', makes me smile). There is something to inspire everyone, whatever your quilting tastes and ambitions may be.

Two of my favourite quilts were from Ineke Berlyn's exhibition, 'A Decade of Quilts' (shown below with her permission). I hope you like them too. Her use of colour is inspirational - she dyes and paints her own fabrics for these pieces.
