Ready for Quilts UK!

The car is packed and, almost, ready to go...

Kimono and recycled fabrics - there will be a (small) rail of kimono and other vintage pieces for recycling, including three beautiful brocade obi. There's some recycled indigo cottons - plains, stripes and checks - sold by weight (I have remembered to pack the scales).

Silks - quite a few new silk rolls this time. As usual, there are lot of vivid oranges and warm colours. These include some of the silks used for the 'Kunimoto' quilt from 'Japanese Quilt inspirations' and a particularly stunning devore velvet in... burnt orange.

Cotton tsumugi - the striped cottons used in my kits and for quilts like 'Igeta'. Some very colourful ones arrived just over a week ago - for once, I got my timing right re Golden Week, the Japanese national holiday week at the start of May, so things arrived just in time (it took a bit of coordination too, with two double bank holiday weekends here right before). There are some new plain cottons suitable for sashiko too, including a light beige and a new mid brown tone.

Yukata cottons - there's a few rolls of these squeezed in here and there.

Most of the book stock is already at Malvern, but it turned out the one box I thought we needed to take was actually three, so those are in too, including copies of 'Japanese Sashiko Inspirations' which will be my show special offer, along with 'Japanese Quilt Inspirations' - just £28 for the two (saving £3.98 on the individual cover prices), while stocks last.

Hope to see lots of you there! Click here for all the show info.
