Quiltfest - Dilys Fronks 'Through the Garden Gate'
Magie Relph's exhibition at Llangollen Museum ended on Sunday and we swapped over the exhibitions this morning. The new one brings together many of the famous 'garden gate' quilts Dilys Fronks has created. These are machine pieced, machine quilted and those intricate gates are hand appliqued.
Having more people to help with the exhibition swap speeded things up considerably and it was more or less ready by 11 a.m. - which is when the first visitors started arriving.
More photos to follow later in the month, and I will be posting photos of Ferret's and Magie's exhibitions soon too.

Lovely quilts but what a wonderful display area, wow.
It is a lovely and rather unusual gallery space - I wish we could have the whole of that floor, but the other half has a permanent display about Llangollen, including some wonderful antique maps and plans - lots of design material there.
