The Great Northern Quilt Show, Harrogate, September 2012

In the end, I decided to enter four quilts for the Great Northern Quilt Show at Harrogate in September -'We are the Champions' (above) deserved another outing during the Olympic year; 'Garden Party' (below) will be shown with the extra quilting added; hopefully I'll get the quilting finished on 'Japanese Taupe Sampler (Warm)' and also the workshop sample for 'Spinning Squares'.  As this year's theme is 'In a Spin', it seemed to be the year to enter it. One of the things I appreciate with the Grosvenor Shows is that each entry gets you a free show ticket as well, which usually goes to my family and friends within reach of Harrogate.  The showground has very easy parking and access, plus probably the best on-site ice creams at any quilt show - just keep them away from the quilts and fabrics please!
