Potholders aplenty!

I'm busy making potholders for a new book at the moment.  It will be one of the '20 to Make' series by Search Press, a small format booklet series that retails for just £4.99 each.  There's forty potholders in total, because each one has a variation (different colourway, simplified construction or extra embellishments), from twenty patterns.  The one above isn't included though, as they have to stay under wraps for now, but if you like it, the pattern is in '130 Little Quilt Blocks' ('130 Mini Quilt Blocks' overseas), also published by Search.  My potholders are based on a simple design my mum makes, usually as Christmas presents, so the backing is bagged out (no binding so quicker to do) and the hanging loop is sewn in place at the same time. They are fun and quick to make.  The only difficult part is deciding which fabrics to use, since I can only have two of each design for the book.  So far, I've used taupes, Japanese mini prints, black & white, modern retro, lots of dots and spots, thirties fabrics and batiks...
