I spent most of today setting up the new kimono exhibition at the Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen. I'm going back there tomorrow morning to finish off the display cases and set out the first of the kimono for sale. The photo gives you a sneak preview of three of my uchikake (wedding "coats") which are displayed so you can walk around them in the centre of the gallery. Most of the other exhibits are displayed flat on the walls, but I will be adding some obi displays in glass cases tomorrow.
The exhibition opens on Monday (please check the diary pages of my website for more information), but there will be a "preview" day on Friday 7th August, from 10a.m. - 4p.m. Admission & parking are free.
