Sashiko panels from the Maleny retreat

Here's some of the work made over the last few days - well done everyone! As usual, click photos to see close ups. Enjoy! There have been some fantastic blocks made here, including some patchwork and applique pieces. All the larger block designs are from 'Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match' with the smaller hitomezashi patterns coming from 'The Ultimate Sashiko Sourcebook'.

If you would like to attend a similar course in the UK, check my diary blog for details of the residential sashiko course I am teaching at Bridlington in April - there may be a few places left.

Hi Val, yes everyone worked hard and made some lovely pieces!

I'm in Cairns now, where we are having a sashiko workshop at Patchwork Friendzy tomorrow, before I head off down to Mebourne on Saturday.
