Happy New Year!

So I don't miss the New Year nine hours ahead of us for my friends in the east of the world, Happy New Year!  Alas we won't be at the Sensoji tonight but we will be there in January.

We have had an amazing year.  I've had two trips to Japan, with Glyn in April/May and with Emily in September.

My friends from Yuza Sashiko Guild were able to visit us for the Loch Lomond Quilt Show in May, and I went to their exhibition in September.

The 1718 Coverlet book was published and the original was on display at the Quilt Museum in York.

The summerhouse progressed from this -

- to this -

We traded at various shows including Quiltfest, World Textile Day Wales, Scotland and South West, Festival of Quilts and the Scottish Quilt Championships.

I've done talks and workshops from London to Morayshire -

The first Loch Lomond sashiko course students finished their samplers, which were shown at the Loch Lomond Quilt Show, the Helensburgh Quilters' show, Yuza Sashiko Guild's Sanno Club exhibition, the Japan Handcraft Teachers' Association's exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and now at Otsuma Women's University's New Gallery in Tokyo.  The second group of Loch Lomond sashiko students started in September.

The year has been more productive and busier than I might have imagined!  Have a great year in 2015!
