Some of the current Japanese fabrics stock...


Here's a small selection of some of the fabrics I am taking to the National Quilt Championships next weekend - various cotton yukata (above) and wool kasuri (below), plus some yummy new silks.  If you are looking for a large print fabric to try out one of the patterns in Paula Doyle's new book, Easy Stack Quilts, some of the yukata cottons are just perfect*!  They are also ideal for projects from Patricia Belyea's East Meets West Quilts.

* Paula is also going to be at the National Quilt Championships, so you can get your copy of her book from her in person, and see some of the fabulous quilts she's made.  If you want to buy yukata fabric for any of her patterns, please let us know, as you will need four identical rather than consecutive panels (the chusen stencil dyeing technique means the pattern mirrors every metre or so).
